SERVES
All DTV receivers with an Electronic Program Guide feature.
Even if a DTV station is carried on digital cable, cable set-top-boxes use a separate EPG service and do not benefit from the DTV EPG.

INGREDIENTS
1 - Working PSIP System
See the DTV PSIP recipe for complete instructions.

2 – PSIP System EPG Option
Some PSIP system vendors charge extra for EPG features.

3A - Data Interface Between Traffic and PSIP Systems
You’ll need a PSIP system with non-proprietary EPG data import function and a Traffic System that has usable EPG data and a compatible export function. This approach may result in more current data, as listings services data does not always reflect program changes.

OR

3B - Annual Contract with EPG Data Service
Tribune Media gathers schedule information from every TV station and reformats it for ideal EPG viewing. Some PSIP vendors offer this data for resale to users of their PSIP system with a charge for each channel. The data may be better formatted for use within an EPG.

INSTRUCTIONS
1 - Install
Install software and data interfaces.

2 - Configure
Configure systems to import EPG data daily.

3 - Test
